The Non Destructive Testing (NDT) Section within ETL has the largest complement of qualified staff (CSWIP, PCN and ASNT) in Hong Kong and has been involved in almost every major construction project in Hong Kong requiring inspections to high international standards.

The NDT Section also carries out inspections utilising existing conventional methods of inspection.

The Metals and Inspection Section conducts physical, metallurgical failure and corrosion analysis within our laboratories and material, welding, painting inspections, water fixing inspections and third party water fitting inspection on-site.

On-site heat treatment of metal is also performed in Hong Kong and the PRC utilising specialist equipment and the technical back-up of our associate company, Thermotest.

The Section also encompasses welding technology in developing and qualifying welding procedures and welder qualifications and provides inspectors to assure welding parameters and specifications are met for clients through out Asia.
